Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

You could start by getting his death certificate from the state or his obituary that was probally in the local newspaper. It all depends on what you want to find out about the man. His parents names would be on his death certificate if they were known. His obituary would have his next of kin in it. There are volunteers that can help you in Jackson county if you want the obituary. The cost is usually copy fees plus postage.
Hope this helps.
