Ruby Patten, 81, of Phoenix, died Tuesday (Feb. 3, 2004) at Three Fountains Nursing Home. Arrangements: Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, Medford.

Ruby Patten, 81, of Phoenix, died in Medford on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Medford. Please park in south parking lot. Rev. Alan Jackson will officiate. Private inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mrs. Patten was born April 12, 1922 in Randolph, NE to Leonard and Esther (Hughes) Griffith. She married Irvin Patten in Grants Pass, OR on February 21, 1944. They lived in Medford most of their lives where Mrs. Patten worked in management at the Knights Inn and Capri Motel.

She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Royal Neighbors of America. She volunteered at the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and delivered food to seniors with Food & Friends.

Mrs Patten enjoyed working in her garden, fishing and doing crafts.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dewey and Jana Patten of Eagle Point; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Raymond Palmer of Vancouver, WA; daughter, Denise McGahuey of Medford; sister, Vivian Rennard of Wyoming; cousin, Georgia Wallis of Arizona; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Patten's husband, Irvin, preceded her in death in 1992.

Memorial contributions may be made to: Food & Friends Senior Meals Program, 155 N. First St., Central Point, OR 97502 or to the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2000 Oakwood Dr., Medford, OR 97504.
