What local newspapers available 1940 in Gold Hill?

Thought I'd start here in finding an obit for my great-grandparents, John Jacob Ritter and Lulu Margaret Baker. I only know that John died 19 Jul 1938 because I've seen his gravestone at the Rockpoint Cemetery (where a few others of the Ritter family are) in Gold Hill . Margaret died (murdered supposedly) in 1940. Have not yet found a record of her death, so I am hoping to track down what local newspapers were available in Gold Hill around 1938-40.
