I am researching the family of Alfred Ivy and his wife Sarah Jane McClelan. He was born 1835 in Arkansas. His first wife was Mary Adaline Colbert (b abt 1837) who he married 10 Mar 1852 in Franklin Co, Arkansas and subsequently divorced because she committed adultery with John Thurston and eloped with him to Cincinatti, Ohio. They had a daughter Lydia Ivy b abt 1856 Franklin Co, Arkansas.

Alfred then married Sarah Jane McClelan (b abt 1842 Arkansas) 17 Sep 1857 in Franklin Co, Arkansas. They appear 1860 and 1870 in Mulberry, Franklin Co, Arkansas. They then relocated to Canyon City, Grants Co, Oregon by the 1880 census. In 1885 a divorce action was filed in Grant County between Alfred or Alford and Sarah J Ivy.
Alfred and Sarah had at least 8 children:
Henry Ivy b 1859/1860
Josiah or Jonah Ivy b abt 1866
Arizona Ivy b abt 1868
Charles A Ivy b 1869/1870
Susan Ivy b abt 1872
Edie ? Ivy b abt 1873
Sarah A Ivy b abt 1877
Frances "Fanny" Ivy b abt 1879
all these children were born in Arkansas and most if not all in Franklin County, Arkansas.

In the marriages of Grant County, Oregon we find that:
IVY, Arizona married A.B. Bowsman (date unknown)
IVY, Fanny married Nelse Oglevie (date unknown)
IVY, Louisa married Ralph Reiter (date unknown)
IVY, Sarah married Walter Snoderly (date unknown)
