I am researching a family of 12-14 brothers most of whom migrated to OR circa 1852, one of which settled in Grant County, OR.
The surname is CASNER or CARSNER; I have found it spelled both ways for the same person on different documents. Being that most of them signed their names with the infamous "X" explains the spelling of the name.
Anyway, James 'Jim' A. Casner/Carsner (bd12-1839 MO) is the one who eventaually settled in Grnat County OR. He first married Clementine Hayworth on 5-19-1858 in Linn Co., OR. I do not know if they divorced or if she died. He married Sarah R. Olney on 12-1-1883 in Grant Co., OR. I do not know if he had any children by either wife.
He is on the 1870 Josephine Co., OR Census, Kery Post Office. According to this census, he was born in 1835.
He is on the 1890 Umatilla Co., Veterans Schedule, Prospect Township.
I would like to know what became of James, his wives, and/or children. I have extensive information on his brothers that I am willing to exchange.
