Hello Laura,
Thank you for your offer to get the copy for me the next time you are in Condon. I do want a copy of the testimony and divorce decree, so I want a copy of the whole file. If finances will allow, I hope I can go to Condon in a few weeks.

Franklin Merle (F. Merle) CAMPBELL was the son of John ("Jack") Sanford CAMPBELL and Arlene Geraldine STEELE. The family didn't live in Gilliam County, but in The Dalles, Wasco County, when they were in Oregon. Merle was born in Washington (1912), and John was born in Kansas (1883). John was the son of Henry Green CAMPBELL and Hattie May BAILEY. John and Arlene were my grandparents.

I found a copy of "The History of Gilliam County, Oregon," published by the Gilliam County Historical Society, at The Dalles-Wasco County Library. It had some biographies I needed on the FARRAR, ALLEN and TIPLEY families.

Thanks again for the offer, but I really need to go to Condon for some research, including newspapers. Would the newspaper office, library or Historical Society have copies of newspapers for around 1930 on microfilm?
