Amanda, I find it fascinating that your first name is also the name of two other women in the line I am studying. Silas Severns/Soverns married Sarah Titus 5 Sep 1839 in Tazewell County, Ill and then came out to Oregon. They had a daughter Amanda, who married James Pittenger in Lane County, OR in 1858. Amanda and James then had 9 children, one of whom was Amanda Annie Pittenger, b. 27 Jul 1870 in Butte County, CA. I believe that this Amanda married Vent Lyons, date and place unknown. I have been trying to figure out how Sarah Titus is related to Silas Titus and the other Tituses who show up in Lane County, OR and other places in Oregon. But surely your first name couldn't be a coincidence with these two others, could it?
