The Publications with Conn History in them would be the 1998 "Story of French Settlement and Melrose" by Crystal Fenn Conn, and the 1983 "Champaigne Christmas Dance" volume 19-4.

The first one has Conn history in it, the 2nd one is a story about a dance held in 1866. The families would get together, alternating whose house they went to, and there would be a party, with food and dancing.

I don't know if the Conn's are specifically mentioned in the volume about the Christmas Dance, but they were friends of the Champaigne family, and took their turn at entertaining as did all the chief families of that area.
