RITES SLATED IN TILLAMOOK
Funeral will be at 2PM, Thursday at St. Johns United Church of Christ in Tillamook for Julia O Zumstein, Tillamook, who died Monday at Redlands, OR after a short illness.
Mrs Zumstein was born in LaCrosse, WI June 14, 1885. She had lived in Tillamook since 1920.
She had been active as a 4-H leader, in PTA, and other civic activities. She taught Americanization classes for many years and exhibited at the County and State Fairs, winning many prizes for cooking, canning, needlework and flowers.
She was a member of St. Johns church, Tillamook Garden Club, County Pioneers Assoc., Silverware Chapter OES, American Legion Auxiliary, 8 and 40, Pythian Sisters, Senior Citizens and JOC.
Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Banner, Portland and Marie Howell, Redland: three brothers, John, Albert and Emil: three sisters, Rose Eberhardt, Lane Ruoff and Clara Steiner and six grandchildren.
Lundberg and Sons is in charge of arrangements with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tillamook.
The family suggests any remembrance be in the form of contributions to St. Johns Church or other charities.
