WVGS is an Oregon Non-Profit Corporation and an IRS 501 (c) (3) organization
WVGS normally meets the second Saturday of each month, during the period of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the
Oregon State Library building, 250 Winter Street, N.E. (corner of Court and Winter Streets), on the west
side of the Capitol Mall. (Use the entrance from Winter Street, which is handicapped-accessible.)
We suggest you check with WVGS in advance to be sure meetings will be held on the normal schedule.
The Oregon State Library Genealogy and General Reference Rooms (2nd Floor) are open to the public
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (except State Holidays). They also are open for
genealogical research the Saturday each month that WVGS meets (see above) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Parking meters are free on Saturdays. WVGS volunteers are available to assist researchers during all
open hours.
