Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Yes, the Molalla Pioneer, a weekly newspaper normally issued on Thursdays, has been published since well before the 1970s. Address is P.O. Box 168, Molalla, OR 97038 and phone is 503-829-2301. In addition, in the 1970s the Oregon City Enterprise-Courier, and the [Portland] Oregon Journal, both dailies, were still being published [though they no longer exist] and are available on microfilm at the Oregon City Public Library and the Multnomah County [Portland] Central library -- I have had good luck finding obituaries in the Enterprise-Courier which were never in the Oregonian.
