Does, did, Molalla have a newspaper? The year of 1977?

Can someone please let me know what newspaper, besides the Oregonian, would have been available for those in Molalla in 1977? Does, or did, Molalla have its own paper? I know some small towns do and some don't publish a newspaper. Where would people put obituary information for those who had lived and died in and around Molalla? The Oregonian had a funeral notice for the person I'm checking on, but no obituary. It mentioned he had been a resident of Molalla just before his death. I thought maybe a hometown paper would publish an obit where there wasn't one in the Oregonian.
