Hi Carol: From the book Jailbirds and Stool Pigeons~Crime Stories of the West by Norman Davis: 'Lois McCarty Vaughn Hunsaker died in 1896 while working in her garden. Her nine-year-old son was with her but the rest of the family was away. The boy covered his mother's body with rocks to protect it from destruction by coyotes or buzzards. She was given a proper funeral and internment.' If you would like additional info from the book let me know. Lois is buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery: 14 Feb 1856~03 July 1896 Laura Notify Administrator about this message?
