Count von Quinn in Austria?
Posted by: Anthony Quinn (ID *****2244) Date: February 24, 2006 at 22:35:13

I spell my name Quinn but someone suggested I also check Quin and O'Quinn because it would have been hundreds of years ago. Story is my dad and his dad died leaving me no details but said our Quinns came from an Irishmen who went to Austria and became a field marshall--there were around fourteen Irishmen who did that--but that he had also been made a count of the holy roman empire. That's why I chose my handle Graf von Quinn because Graf means a Count.
If anyone has any info. on this it would be greatly appreciated!
