Dear Alasdair,
I am following your correspendence with Richard Lyman with interest.Though unconnected with my branch of the Oppenheims, I have a copy of the Pedigree of Simon Oppenheim of Frankfurt up to the present day containing considerable detail.Simon, a banker, lived in St John's Wood, Middlesex and died 31 May 1867 aged 65, Will dated 28 Jan 1863.One of his 4 children, Charles Augustus Oppenheim died of paralysis 5 Dec 1874 aged 42.The eldest son, Henry Maurice William Oppenheim died 4 May 1912, a financier and Deputy Lieutenant for the County of Kent.
Should you wish further details I will need to obtain the permission of the Pedigree owners to release the same.
Regards,Hilary Seddon
