Iam trying to find information on John Opie the Artist. Last night on the internet I found a caption below one of his paintings that said Amelia Alderson was his second wife.
If this is true does anybody know who his first wife was and when they were married?
There is also mention of a portrait of a Master William Opie who I assume was his son.
If anybody has any information they can tell me on John Opie or his wife that would be great.
