I have my hands full am also researching the Opie family history. PLUS, the Trent, Bean, Liepner, Aspeling, Joubert and du Preez family, we are all connected somehow. Trying to get it all together.\

My Grandfather (Charles Obert), mothers name was Emma Hannah Opie, all we have is that she was born in England. My Grandfather was born on 28 November 1911. Emma married my G.Grandfather Edwald Charles Trent in South Africa. He was born in the Cape Province.South Afica, and my grand father was born in Namaqualand.

Don't know if you have come across her name on your research travels.

If you can help, it would be much appreciated.

Best regards

Desiree Bean (nee Trent, married du Preez, (widowed), remarried Liepner (divorced), remarried Bean.
