My Dad is James Franklin Ooley, eldest child of Hershel & Mary Ooley. Hershel was the youngest son of Benjamine & Edith Ooley, originally from Illanois. Hershel had 4 brothers & 2 sisters. Elmer(died in his early 40's), vic, Earl, Ray, Helen, & Ruby. I think most if not all were born in Higgins, Tx. Or Liberal, Kansas. Ben & Edith moved to Higgins when Ben was 19 or so, they came with the railroad, Ben was an railroad engineer. He later moved to Liberal, Ks. My grandfather was born in Higgins,Tx.( Dec.15, 1915). Ben had a brother named John, he owned a clothing store in Okla. city called "Ooleys" It is still run by John's sons, you can look it up on the web. There were about 13 or so other children but my Dad couldn't remember any other names. Hope this helps. Kayren ;o)
