Hi Russ, thanks for taking the time to reply.

When I select a person I know has decendants in the people list select publish and generate a descedant chart, the resulting chart shows people who have a husband/wife type of relationship joined with a double line. If the couple have a child it is shown underneath the couple with a single line connected to either the husband or wife ...sometimes to a wife and on other parts of the chart a child line is connected to a husband. I've looked through all the options I can find and can't see a way of altering this. This may simply be the way FTM 2011 is designed, it isn't a major problem of course ...visually it just doesn't sit comfortably with me. Ultimate Family Tree (the first genealogy program I tried many years ago) would always draw the child line connected to the centre (approx)of the double line connecting a couple together. I'm perfectly happy with FTM 2011 in every other respect.

Phew!! ...hope that makes sense.

Peter :)
