My father was William I. Ong III, born in 1906 in Columbus, Ohio. Logic says William I. Ong I was my great grandfather and that William II was my grandfather, who I met twice as a child. My father was raised by an aunt and Uncle in London, Ohio--Charles Thompson and Grace Sifrit. I remember them mentioning the name Oxtoby frequently, though I had no idea as a child then that the name pertained to the wife of William I. Ong, the original Number One. My father died in 1986, my mother two years earlier, in Stuart, FL. I live in Santa Monica, CA, am a former advertising creative man and current writer with two screenplays and two novels under my belt.
