Vanessa!!
Ok, this is the line (and I have more information now):
1. Isaac O'Neal (b. Aug. 1831) and Selinda Barco (b. Feb. 13, 1833, d. Feb 14, 1915).
2. Their daughter Mary was my gggrandmother; she married Robert Lewellyn Beasley (one of her sisters married a Beasley, but the relationship is complicated and I keep getting lost in figuring it out!).
3. Robert and Mary had six sons: Lancelot Rufus (they called him Lance ), Raymond (my grandfather), Cecil, Norman, Erna and Robert.
4. Raymond married Hazel Burrus; their daughters were Jane and Joanne (my mother).
I'm on an e-mail list where there has been a lot of information recently on Dare County/Currituck County, including quite a bit of information on the Barcos. And there was just a message last week from someone who is descended from Nathan O'Neal and Mary Tillett, Isaac O'Neal's parents.
I had never heard that Luke had married again. This is quite interesting; I'm pretty sure Selinda was Mary's mother.
If you want to e-mail me directly, I'd be glad to give you the addy for the e-mail list, and we'd all be glad to share our info with you.
Isn't this fun??
