I think your interpretation that there actually are two Elizabeth O'Neals may make more sense than does my interpretation that there is only one Elizabeth O'Neal who is listed twice. (I would, however, re-emphasize that I have no proof whatsoever that either of these (two?) Elizabeth O'Neals was married to a Robert O'Neal.)
Perhaps the Robert O'Neill (O'Neal?) in the 1840 Henderson Co. Census (who I mention in Part 5 of this discussion) died after 1840 and his wife Elizabeth O'Neal moved to Henry County before 1850. This Robert O'Neal is listed as age 70-80 with wife 60-70, which would fit the Elizabeth O'Neals in Henry Co. age 72 and 74 in 1850. That could explain the two Elizabeth O'Neals, one being in Henry Co. in 1840 and the other moving there prior to 1850. Mildred Sasso indicated that Robert O'Neal (Jr.) was born in Virginia in 1767, which would match the age bracket for Robert O'Neill (O'Neal?)in Henderson Co., TN, age 70-80 in 1840. Does anyone know where Mildred Sasso got this information?
