Archbishop Edward Thomas O'Meara

Laura, I have an undated newspaper article entitled "Centenary of U.S. Archibishop's Mother". There is a photo accompanying the article entitled "To Mark A Century of Living". The article leads me to think it's from an Irish newspaper.

There are 6 people in the photo. The caption reads: Mrs Mary O'Meara, a native of Ballydavid, Littleton (in centre, seated) who will celebrate her 100th birthday on Sept. 27th, is pictured here with relatives.
Front Row: (left to right) Killy Maher, Mary O'Meara, Indianapolis, Madge Power.
Back Row (left ro right) The Archbishop of Indianapolis, Most Rev Dr. Edward T. O'Meara (son of Mrs Mary O'Meara) who will visit Thurles area next week; James Leahy, Paddy Leahy, John Leahy.

If you're interested I can type up the article and post it to the List, or scan it and send it privately as an attachment.

I haven't been able to establish if this family is connected to my MEARA's from Templetouhy, Co. Tipperary.

Researching MEARA/RYAN from Templeltuohy, Moyne, Templemore
