A few years ago The Journal (annual) of the Tipperary Historical Society carried an article by a John O'Meara titled The O'Mearas of Lissinski.
I'm on the road right at the moment so I'm away from mt info but you can find the Tipperary Historical Society on the net and the Journal that contains this article can be purchased for abiut $25 US.
The O'Mearas of Ballymacky, apparently, a part of the Lissiniski clan which would seem to have been the largest or most substantial sept of the O'Mearas.
North Tipperary was as you must know was the mother load of the clan with Toomevara being the center post. The entire clan in early times seems to have been concentrated in an area about five miles square.
My section of the clan came to the USA in 1850 from a Townland called Fawnlough which is a couple of miles south of Nenagh.Family records seem to point to the Townland of Park, just northeast of Toomevara as the family location about 1710
