I am still seeking help on locating Samuel Oman of Madison Township, Pickaway Co., Ohio. He married Mary Solt daughter of Cinrad and Salome Solt of Bloom Township, Fairfield County, Ohio in 1861. They lived in a home right outside of Marcy Ohio. They had 5 children. The eldest daughter was Sarah and she married a Millar was married about 11 months and died of typhoid in 1889. Samuel and Mary moved from Marcy to Eagle Township,Hancock County, Ohio outside of Rawlston, Ohio. Is there any information to what happened to the family afterwards. It seems that they had some ties to the Bigelow family in Hancock County. Omans farm was sold to a Charles Bigelow. Are thay related? Are the Bigelow's the same family that made money in oil in Findlay, Ohio at that time? I am trying to piece together a family protrait of the Oman's at the Historical Park I work at. I would love to speak to the Oman Family. So far I only get to speak to the Omans that live in the next township over, Walnut Twnsp. But they ARE a different family. That Samuel Oman married a Mary, but not Mary Solt of Bloom township. Please help.
