John and Mary A did indeed have a son named William and it is in my records so I either inadvertently omitted him or did not have the information when I originally posted back in 2002. I don't check the boards too regularly, thus this late response to your reply. I am happy to fill in more blanks on the family tree. William Bate Olver, born 1868, son of James b. 1833 and Jane Body is my grandfather. My grandfather became a father later in life! John Olver, b. 1804 was the son of William Olver and Ann Bate. I have connected with some other descendants of theirs if you are interested in more information.
