Hi. I beleive John Olver,Born 1804 had another son that you didn`t mention called William Bate Olver born 1832 and think he is the brother of the children you mentioned. One of the children you mentioned, james, later had a son called William Bate whom i beleive must be named after James` brother. William Bate Olver b1832 is my GG Grandfather. He married young and had a daughter called Elizabeth Francis who is the 3 yr old in the 1861 census. Sadly the mother whom i haven`t traced died leaving the child to be looked after by her Grandparents...John Olver and Mary A Olver. While they were looking after the child William Bate Olver worked as a servant in the Liskeard area according to the 1851 and 61 census` so he doesn`t appear alongside James, John, Mary, Jane A., Robert, and Richard M in the census. He remarried an Elizabeth Sarah Fuge in 1867.
My Mother has a family bible with names of her family line going back to William Bate Olver. William moved to West Bromwich in what was then called Staffordshire but now is part of the West Midlands. My Great grandfather is John Philip Lyne Olver, grandfather William Henry Olver and my mother Val Cook nee Olver. I hope this is helpfull
