If your great-grandfather was the Adolph Olson Eberhart elected Governor of Minnesota in 1908, then I have data. He and his brother Axel changed their names to Eberhart while students at Mankato State, because of the large number of Olsons in and around Mankato interfering with the delivery of mail. He changed his name to Eberhart because it was his wife's grandmother's maiden name, but we don't know anything about his wife. Adolph was the second of 7 children of Anders Olsson/Olson, not Adolph, and Johanna Lovisa Anderson, who were both from Vaermland, in Frykerug Parish, Sweden, and married there. Their children were: John Albert Olson (4 Jul. 1868-1938)--married a woman named Sophi Adolph (23 Jun. 1870-1944)--married ? Axel Olson Eberhart (1876-1954) Marie Olson (17 Jul. 1878-28 Aug. 1938)--married Maurice John Blatchford (see Blatchford family group for more info), 9 children Carl (died in infancy in Sweden) Baby girl (died in infancy during voyage from Sweden) Oscar Anders/Andrew Olson (27 Jun 1884-2 Nov. 1955)--married Elizabeth Geneva Janet Blatchford The Olsons in Nebraska, you will note, intermarried with the Blatchfords twice in one generation, making Marie and Oscars children double-cousins. I'd be pleased to relate anything more you might want to know, and would love to find out what became of Adolph after his political career--we know he moved to Illinois and is buried there, but that's all.
