Carrie Olson of Chicago, abt.1903-1921
Could someone help me identify "Carrie Olson of Chicago." The phrase comes from a grant deed for 80 acres that my g-grandfather Oliver Olson filed in Lincoln County Oklahoma in 1903 and revoked in 1921. His Olson family were centered in DeKalb Co. MO in the late 1800s. Oliver, born in 1852 in Weland Gunnarskog, Sweden, immigrated to the U.S. in 1872, and was living in DeKalb County as early as 1876. The 1880 census shows him in Colfax Twp., single, in a Peeterson household that includes a Carrie Peeterson. (Could she have later married an Olson?) Oliver had relatives in DeKalb Co. before he arrived. When he died in 1924, he willed his small estate to his "nephews Andrew Olsonand Carl Olson of Maysville, MO." I have more details if someone has a question. But "Carrie Olson" has been a mystery to me for twenty years now.
Many thanks
