I have a writeup by Doreen Dolleman which she forwarded to me. Her research lists the following: This is the line from Capt. Jabez to Phineas Jr.
Jabez Olmstead/Thankful Barnes, Israel Olmstead/Sarah Bannister, Timothy Olmstead/Susannah Killam, Phineas Olmstead/Hannah Joseph, Phineas Olmstead Jr/ Elizabeth Hunter.
For those of you who have the 1912 Olmsted Family In America, or used it as a guide to start your genealogy, take note that it has mixed up tweo generations of the Phineas Line.
Phineas Jr born 1795-6 in Vermont married Elizabeth Hunter 26 May 1822 in Sorrel Co. Richelieu, Que
The writeup goes on to list all their children and grandchildren. George being the second son born, Palmerston, Ont. 2 Dec 1826.
Almost all of the Phineas Jr. family relocated to the States, George being the only one to remain in Canada. To make it more interesting Phineas and Elizabeth named their third son Phineas born 1 Sept 1828 who married Julia Stone.
Hope this helps. Terry
