Pierre Olivier and Marie Magdeleine Loupe

I have information provided by the Hebert books, but have been unable to find out anything else. I am confused because sometimes he is refered to as Pierre and others as Pedro. Can someone tell me why? Has anyone gone back any further than what is in the Hebert books? Also, how or when did this family get to the US?
Pierre and Marie's son is referred to as Noel de St. Jacque Olivier. Have found a Noel de St. Jacque Olivier marrying an Anne Camus on Feb. 3, 1722 in Rambouillet, Seine Et-Oise, France on a website. Is this older Noel part of this family?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
