NJ IN IL MO TX Oliver
30 years ago I worked on Oliver fam tree.Recently I typed up notes for my children.I suspect that some of you are from this line.I am looking for one person to give this to who has the skill to look up birth, ship, and military records in NJ--and the skill to put what is found on the internet--even if not their tree.I do not want to deal with this--so please respond to the forum telling me what your skills are.I will select one person and announce it, so the rest of you can hound that person instead of me.To wet your whistles:Captain John Lewis Oliver was born in Dublin; his father probably had the same name.Capt came to US around 1761; was in RW--he had one or more children; one was Franklin Benjamin Oliver born in Bordontown NJ, 1786.FBO was in the NJ Militia in 1814.He was 43 at the time of his first known marriage to Zedith Irish. In 1832 he settled in Chatsworth, Livingston Co, IL with two toddlers from that marriage (neither passed on the Oliver sur-name).In one story grown children from an earlier marriage came with him and some went "back" to IN.His second known marriage was in 1835 or 40 to an Kickapoo Indian.Their children were: James, Helen, Anna, and Caroline.I didn't find any info on them.He may have sent them to take care of his holdings in MO and TX.His third known marriage to Amaretta Smith took place bet 1855 and 1870; Revilo, John Lewis and Florence were born.
