OLIVER/SMITH marriage- Edmonton, AB, Canada- April 1916
This isn't any relation to me, but I stumbled across it in old Alberta newspapers, and thought it might help someone:
"SMITH-OLIVER
A pretty but quiet wedding took place at the Salvation Army citadel on Wednesday morning at 7 o'clock when Miss Sarah Armstrong Oliver of Belfast, Ireland became the bride of Rev. William B. Smith of Edmonton. A large number of friends and acquaintances were present to witness the ceremony which was performed by Adjutant Merritt. The bride was given away by E. Hazelton and was attended by her sister, Miss L. Oliver. R. Harvey supported the groom. Miss Oliver was well known in the city, having taught in the Haultain School for a number of years. Mr. and Mrs. Smith leave on the afternoon train on Friday for Edmonton, where they will reside."
