I will gladly share what info I have on Henry Pelt but it isn't much.I suggest you try to get in touch with Briscoe Price (try genforum "Pelt"), I believe he was also descended from Asa Pelt and Winnie Langford.I haven't looked at this for a long time, it was such a dead end.
Henry Pelt d. 1838 Clarke Co., Al.Will 2/18/1838 names son Henry, daughters Letty Erwin, Betsy Rowen and Rebecca Johnson (my line). Also children of Nancy and Neal McClousky who apparently were deceased at that time. Also granddaughters, Anna and Lavicy Pelt and grandson James Pelt.
There was no mention of Asa or Winnie Pelt but Asa could of received his "portion" earlier.
1. Rebecca Pelt b. 1804 Ga. d 1873 Van Zandt Co., Tx. married Robert Johnson Apr. 3, 1829 Clarke Co.
2. Leticia Pelt b. abt. 1805 Ga. d. Dec. 1, 1870 married Jared Erwin
3.Betsy (? Elizabeth) married ? Rowan
4. Henry Pelt Jr. abt. 1819 Al d. 1847 Clarke.Married Mrs. Hannah Jane Johnson 1840 Clarke
5. Nancy Pelt married Neal McClousky.
There was evidence that there was a Henry Pelt who married a Rhoda Oliver.Whether or not it is OUR Henry I'm not sure.
