Stan,
Could you give me more information on this family? Bushrod was spelled Bushnail in the 1860 Federal Census, and they lived in Newell Township, Vermillian Co. Ill. at the time of the census. (Reel No; 653-233 Page No: 472)I don't know which spelling to use. Also Harrison, Bushrod's brother lived in Knewel Township at the time that the Mormon missionary's moved into Knewel to gather a fold. Parley Pratt and his brother first intered Knewel. There is an account listing some of the people that use to gather ar Harrisons home in Knewel to listen to the missionary's. That account is in the Knewel Township History for Vermillion Co. I would like any information you could give me on the Olivers.
Harrison served in the Mormon Battalion. His first wife Dorothy Martin had ono son and a set of twins then died. Harrisson's second wife Hannah Martin was a sister to his first wife. Their first child was William Temple Oliver, m. Nancy Francis Lovern. Their First born was William Edward Oliver, mt Great Grandfather. Also in the census listing It listed there address in Knewel at the time. I would like to go see if I could find that house. Dennis
