Here's a long shot. This Olive Council b. 1615 in Yorkshire ENG and dec. 1640 Isle of Wight Co VA. She was married to John Hardy Sr in 1632. His 1st land patent was in year 1666 for 1150 acres in Isle of Wight Co VA.
Olive Council's father was Hodges Council b. 1579 married to Maud_?__ in 1638 in Devonshire ENG. I figure her name Olive is a family surname - used as a first name. Hodges is another surname. I sure would like to find the connection.
My Great Grandmother was Bessie Council married to a Caldwell.
Is there any help out there for me?!
