I have also received some information linking Perry to William who was born in Maryland about 1775 and that his father "William" was born in Mount Oliphant near Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland in 1741. I also have information that this William's father was Matthew "James" Oliphant born in Ireland before 1715. Would you have any information regarding Matthew or William? Thank you for your help.
