Here's what I know from my mother (now deceased). Her father was Herbert Olin born in the early 1900's. My mother thought the family was Welsh and the name was originally Llewylen. (Family lore).His father's name was Frederick Olin.

The family came from Wisconsin.

Perhaps they are descendants of Lewis Randall Olin who came from Wisconsin after his wife died in 1861.
