Oldham/Odlum

I have been working on the Odlum Family tree and the earliest ancestor I have information on is Thomas Odlum born 1630 in Lancashire, England who later moved to Ireland. The only other information I have is that he was the son of an Oldham from England. Does this connect with anybody's research?
