The name Oldfield came to England in the 11th century by a wave of migration that was set of by the norman conquest of 1066. They first settled in Cheshire & were given lands by Duke william of Normandy for thier distinguished assistance at the battle of Hastings in 1066ad. hope this helps Notify Administrator about this message?
