I am the Great Great Grandaughter of Abner Oldfield. I have been told that he was raised by the mother of the race car driver, Eli Berna Oldfield. It's also family rumor that Abner's son, Arthur Nelson Oldfield, married a relative of Shirley Temple, Genevive Temple. I'm looking for any info I can get on Abner and his family, where they lived, what it was like, not just the dates.
But here's some of the date info that I have:

their son
Arthur N. Oldfield b. July 1890 IL and d. JUly 28 1967
m.
Genevive Temple b. July 3 1902 MI and d. Dec 11, 1928 Salem, OR State Insane Asylum. Burried IOOF, The DAlles, OR.
their daughter is living and my grandmother.
