My great great grandfather had a son who did some documentaion on the Hoting family and in his German letters to American families, he stated:
A family crest is cut in the pulpit of the Zwischenahner church. These crest which look similar to ours, are found in many Oldenburger families.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
