Debbie!
I replied to your inquiry on Reka Oldenburg ... The father of Reka has been placed with various first names on documents. But Christe was one - Chris, Christ, Christoph, Christopher J., and Charles C. Oldenburg.
The Mansfield 1892 Census I mentioned records him as Christ Oldenburg, 48yrs old, a citizen of U.S., farmer, born Germany. His wife's name recorded as Elizabeth, 46yrs old, a citizen of U.S., born Germany. There sons - Lewis and William were also U.S. citizens by this time frame having been born Germany.
His wife's nickname seems to have been Elizabeth, her real name being Marie, Elsie Sophie/Sophia (1847-1909).
Again, DMunnings@aol.com is my email address if this seems to match.
