Dear Ms. Scott,
I find interest in your post. Where in New York state was she and her husband located? I am also curious if you are positive that your Reka Oldenburg came to New York having been born in Germany, though. I believe the Reka in my mother-in-laws family tree was born in New York state about 1878 (she was 14 on the Mansfield, Cattaraugus County 1892 Census).
The husband's name was not known to me or their offspring, but if you have names of siblings I list at least ten, three who were on the census as born in Germany.

As a side note, someone else's paper notes that were forwarded to me show a Dora Oldenburgh in Liberty Park Cemetery, New Albion, Cattaraugus County, New York. It has a date of 9-16-1900 and says 24yrs.
