As I have been told by my father Duane Oldenburg and My uncle Frank Oldenburg, few years after my grandfather Henry Oldenburg came over from Germany @1904-1910, his brother followed. The story goes that there was a dispute about a certain pig that was "misplaced" and not having the money or connections to prove his honor< he came over to america to start over again. The Oldenburgs settled in the Constantine area and the Oldenbergs settled in the Colon area. This may not be the same oldenburgs that you are refering to but it may help
