Phineas Oldaker was a brother to my ggrandmother, Evangeline E. Oldaker aka Eve E., children of Jacob Groves Oldaker, Sr. and Elizabeth Fry. Evangeline married my ggrandfather, John Wesley Selby and I am in the process of writing their family history. My information on Phineas' family is quite skimpy and most of it is from the OLDAKER STORY by Edward L. Oldaker. On page 149 it mentions Phineas Oldaker's children "Earl who married Lena, had one daughter Edna, unmarried." (I don't know how accurate this is; as you stated Edna was born in 1877 and was Phineas' daughter). Another place in this book, it mentions Phineas P. Oldaker, born 29 Jan 1848,Knox Co., OH, married on 26 Dec 1873 in Johnson Co., IA, Lizzie Clark. It states he lived in Frytown, IA. (Frytown was founded by the Fry family and a lot of Oldakers lived there too). The Oldaker book goes on to say Phineas lived in Frytown, later went to Nebraska and then to San Bernardino, CA. and it is presumed he died there.
Are you a descendant of this side of the family and how much info. do you have? Sorry I am not much help but feel free to email me if you want to correspond.
