i am trying to connect with my many cousins in cork, ireland. my mother is julia christine o'keeffe daughter of maurice and helen o'keeffe - born may 29, 1929 in cork. the family moved to england - i believe the liverpool/widnes area when she was around 8. my grandfather was one of i believe 13 children and he also grew up in cork. his father or grandfather was a diver in cork harbour either salvage or repair or sponges - not sure. i met a car load of my cousins twenty years ago when they visited my grandfather in widnes, cheshire but since then no nothing of them. my mother was one of three - eileen who died early 1960's of breast cancer and maurice who lives in penketh, england. my mum now lives in canada which is where i was born and raised. the reason i am interested is because my husband and i might be moving to cork in the next few years due to work and i would like to if possible not be in a position where i walk down the street and past a cousin - so anyone knowing anything - thanks so much - it would be great to connect with family.
