Dear Ward:
Pauline O'Keefe was my paternal grandmother, and Thomas was my paternal grandfather. Pauline had 6 sons, and 2 daughters, the 2 oldest sons, and the 2 daughters are still alive at this time and in good health. The order of the children were 5 boys, 2 girls, 1 boy.
They were married at St. Catherine's church in Somerville, MA; and raised their children in Cambridge, MA. Pauline died shortly after giving birth to a son Leonard, who also died shortly afterwards. No photos of Pauline exist in my family, which if you had access to any would be appreciated.
Thomas O'Keefe, had quite a temper, and he got very angry because the mailman kept giving his mail to a neighbor, who also had the Irish "O" on his last name. He went to the courthouse and had the family name changed from O'Keefe to Keefe. So that would affect some of your research.
