I research an online database. It contains abt 12,000,000 Irish rcds. Co. Offaly rcds aren't in the database yet.

For Cornelius O'Keeffe B 1838 +/- 1 yrs somewhere in Ireland with an unknown father's forename, I found 11 B rcds.

Suggest you search U.S. censuses, naturalization papers, state and church marriage registers, etc, for Bridget's maiden name, and parents' names.
