Hi, looking for birth certificate of my grandfather, William Francis O'Keefe, born around 1887 in Cork or Tipperary to Michael and Bridget O'Keefe (nee Blanchim). He went to New Zealand somewhere between 1912 and 1917.

Family rumours are rife that he changed the name from 2 f's to 1 f, also that he was running from the Black and Tans, but unsubstantiated.

marriage and death certs state that he was from Tipperary, County Tipperary, but the research documents have no William O'Keefe born in Tipperary around that time, only in Cork, and with 2 f's. It cld get very expensive that way, so hoping this will ring a bell with someone.
